Belated 1 mo B-day

We're still as tired as ever, but here are some pics of Gavin a little past his one month old b-day...

Consumed by Exhaustion!

By popular demand ("popular" being one person), I've finally dragged my exhausted butt upstairs in order to post to our blog. Who knew that taking care of a baby could be so much work, and so exhausting? Here's a typical example of one of my days:

5:00 am-- feed baby 'till 6:00 am.
6:00 am- 7:00am-- burp baby, change baby, and offer baby dessert from booby #2.
7:00-8:00 a.m.-- baby sleeps (or, alternatively cries for an hour), then wants to be fed again.
Repeat.

For someone used to sleeping 10 hours a day, getting by on 3-4 (broken up into 1 hour segments) per day is extremely difficult. Luckily, Potato Seed is very hands on and helpful, as you can see from this video:



Also, heres another picture of the peanut gallery at Peanut's first baby wellness visit at 2 weeks of age:


We're happy to report that he's gained 2 inches and one pound since he was born, and is now 20 inches and 8.4 lbs. That puts him in the 50th percentile, which is perfectly average. Wait a minute-- average???!!! C is average-- is he satisfied with being "just average"? Does he want to work at Taco Bell for the rest of his life??? Ha, ha. Well, he DID get an A+ at his lactation appointment, so I guess that averages out to a B.... or else maybe he just likes boobies!

Speaking of which, here's a picture of the consternated "look" I ALWAYS get when little Peanut is at the milk bar....


Anyway, baby calls-- time to go back to work!
