A couple of days before Xmas, I cooked my extended family rack of lamb in our new kitchen (finally!).
The next day, we had shabu shabu and crab with Terence's side of the family. Shabu Shabu is hot pot.
On Xmas morning, Gavin and Terence made some delicious pancakes, bacon, and perfectly cooked eggs, over easy.
For dinner, we had T's parents and John & Amy over for dinner. We made a delicious prime rib and a bunch of sides. John brought a Winter Salami from Salumi, a place in Seattle that makes it's own artesianal salamis (Mario Batali's dad). It was yummy.
Here is the winter salami cheese plate, yum.
Creamed corn.
Baked potato bar and roasted asparagus.
Our yummy medium rare prime rib shown with Terence's brown butter cookies, candied walnuts, and the roasted asparagus.
Here is a picture of salty Gavin, who did not want to wear his Xmas sweater, and insisted on trying to help out in the kitchen.
Too many presents!
The most ridiculous presents of all-- a child sized recliner and a Gucci throw blanket.
The next day, we had brunch at the Village Pub in Woodside, yum, yum.
And that was our Xmas. Just think, the next post will probably have new baby pics, gulp!
