UCR Botanical Gardens

Since Terence is gone for half a week and Grandma's in town, we decided to see some flowers at the UCR Botanical Gardens. Here we are at Pho Vinam, where we enjoyed some hot bowls of pho and other stuff.

Happy Birthday Tyrik!

Wow, it doesn't seem like that long ago that we celebrated Tyrik's first birthday. This year, the celebration was at Irvine Regional Park, which is huge. We went to the zoo, played around at the picnic area where the party was at, and then went on a train ride and pony ride. Boo had lots of fun, even though he was a little cranky. Here are some pics:

It has so much fun stuff like a rainbow tunnel, a lot of water features like water that jumps into pots, water that forms vortexes, water that forms balls, etc, etc, a cloud and rain simulator, a topiary garden, and rock chimes. Boo LOVED this place and didn't want to leave.

Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day was pretty relaxing. Luckily for me, I had two valentines! Here's a pic of me cuddling with one on the couch.
No Valentine's Day is complete without a trip somewhere fun! Here we are at a local farm with very furry and docile cows.


Eating breakfast at IHOP, the perfect spot for toddlers who are prone to melt-downs.

SF Trip

Last week, we flew to SF to scout out potential housing. We toted all our luggage and all of Boo's "essential" stuff, including his car seat, travel stroller, and pack n' play through the airport. It was an ordeal for sure! While we were in the Bay Area, we explored various neighborhoods for future housing options and visited friends and family.

Here's Boo toddling around various apartment complexes. Boo seemed strangely happy. I, on the other hand, found it vaguely depressing-- it's hard to move from a house back to an apartment. Hopefully we'll find a house to rent in Menlo Park that allows doggies of all kinds!

Here we are playing "put the cards in the box." We generally play four cards at a time, otherwise he gets overwhelmed. He knows about 3/4 of the 32 objects now, yaay. He's not so fond of things like the heart purse, purple dress, or red shoes, ha, ha.
