Graduations, Swimming, & the Zoo

We've had a very busy couple of weekends, which were filled with graduations galore. First, we headed to Kristie's UCLA graduation in Westwood. Here's a pic of us at the graduation lunch with Uncle Ed.

Here are a couple of Gymboree pics of Peanut that I thought were cute. He's in the "pre-crawl tunnel" honing his skills!

Then, we headed to El Torito to celebrate the graduation of Richard and Nirav, Terence's cofellows. Here's Peanut at the bar... apparently 6 months is the age to be to attract all the local cuties!

The next weekend, we spent at La Jolla for Kim's UCSD graduation. We stayed at the Hilton Torrey Pines, thanks to the reasonable government employee rate. But first, we went to Chicago on a Bun and had yummy homemade potato chips! The hot dogs were just okay.

Here we are, strolling around our hotel.

Here's a pic of our room, which overlooked the very manicured grounds...

The next morning, we had breakfast at the Cottage with Kim and Stacy, before heading to the SD Zoo. Omelettes and french toast= yum!

Here we are at the zoo... it was sweltering hot that day, and we all thought we were going to die. Our pedometer said that we walked 7.5 miles that day!

Yaay for pandas!

Fanning off the poor, hot baby...

Then it was off to Extraordinary Desserts for some delicious pre-dinner dessert. Their tres leche cake was excellent.

We decided to take a well-deserved dip in the pool after a sweltering day at the zoo. Peanut got to swim for the very first time! Here we are at the Hilton's pool, which overlooked the Torrey Pines Golf Course, where the US Open was this year...

The next day was Kim's graduation. Here are some flowers we got her at Bristol Farms.

Back home, back to the usual routine.
